birthday and baby

well baby. your mommy is now 28! i can hardly even believe it. it sounds so old to me, i am definitely not used to it. my birthday was a week ago today. sunday, january 24th. your daddy asked me what i wanted and i told him nothing…just to save up and get ready for you :) we are so excited about meeting you – have i mentioned that!?

matt and i went shopping on saturday – i guess you could call it a birthday treat :) and i got some new shoes…FLATS! my closet is a giant collection of hundreds (literally) of stilettos and crazy high heels. with a baby in the belly and long work days i figured i had better spread my wings into the world of flats. they are super cute little ralph lauren ballerina flats.

 

i had a doctors appointment on the 25th and it was the first one that i went to without matt. schedules were crazy and it was a spur of the moment thing. anyhow – no sonogram but i did get to hear baby’s heartbeat. it was a strong and steady 154 – music to my ears. quite a bit slower from the original heart rate which was in the 170’s! at this appointment the doctor asked me what i think i am going to have – boy or girl. i told her i have absolutely no idea, which is the honest truth. she told me she thinks i am having a girl and wrote it at the top of my chart as her official guess. so place your bets now…what do you think?

 

there will be no need for guessing soon. as mentioned in my last post, the anatomy sonogram has been scheduled for 2/15/10. yikes, can’t believe its just 15 days away! then i can officially start buying stuff for my little baby bear! eeeeek, i cannot believe i am going to be a mommy. it makes me want to scream and shout, haha. in a good way of course!

the weekend has flown by and it is back to the desk tomorrow. lots of love to my family who i miss so much. i can’t wait to make a trip very soon to frisco to see my precious little nephew skyler. seriously, he i think he is the cutest baby ever! also, i got to see my bubba this weekend. i love him so much and i am so grateful to spend such precious time with him. he is so wonderful!

well, its 10pm and nearing my bedtime. the grammy’s are wrapping up and i have to make a special shout out to the KINGS OF LEON for 4 nominations and 3 wins including record of the year. they are so awesome and so deserving (finnnalllly) of this great recognition! <3
