just for KICKS

so two blogs in one day might be over doing it a bit, especially for me, lol...but hey, i am sick and pregnant give me a break :) i am playing catch up! plus, this one is TOTALLY worth it! on sunday morning matt and i played hookey from church (is it really hooky if you are laid up in bed sick as dogs?). while we were laying there baby decided she wanted to play. i could feel her fluttering around in there more than ever before. after a few minutes of oohing and aaahing over it to myself matt decided he wanted in on the action. i really didnt think he would be able to feel much at this point but he was so eager and i had to let him try so i took his hand and placed it on my tummy where i was feeling her the most. and i kid you not right then and right in that exact place she kicked! and it was the clearest, most focused little kick yet! we both got to feel it together. it was so precious. matt's eyes lit up and he yelled "I FELT IT!" it was such an awesome moment. and then...as if she knew she was melting our hearts, she kept on kicking. like 5 more times in that exact spot. i swear to you, and mark my words: it was right then and there that i saw my daughter wrap her daddy around that tiny little finger of hers...that man will be total mush by the time she arrives :) thank you jesus. we are so blessed <3

oh...ps...daddy started painting her room that evening. i have been pushing him to get started for forever. i don't think this is any coincidence :)

here he is with the first brush strokes :)

How sweet! Before you know it you can set something on your belly (like a cell phone) and watch it dance round as she moves & kicks - I always loved that!

That's exactly what my dr said. She told me by my next appt that if I rest the remote on my belly chances are she will kick it off! Lol, isn't god amazing?!

That is just the sweetest thing. It seriously brought tears to my eyes... It is such an amazing feeling when the father begins to bond with the baby and feel the kicks, etc during pregnancy. Having a baby with someone is such a precious experience to share with someone. I know you are enjoying it so much. LOVE :)
